Thanks for using Shot Timer For GSSF Match Training — a countdown timer and
microphone-based shot timer built for GSSF match competitors who want to sharpen their speed,
consistency, and stage execution before match day.
Getting Started
Shot Timer
Open the Shot Timer and choose a round count (3, 5, 10, 15, 20) or unlimited.
Press Start and raise your firearm — you get a 5-second delay before the timer goes live.
Once live, the mic captures each shot and logs your splits: absolute time, delta from the previous shot, and average split across the string.
Adjust sensitivity if you're indoors vs. outdoors, or if shots are being missed or double-counted.
Countdown Timer
Set any duration (hours / minutes / seconds) for timed drills and positional work.
A progress bar tracks every second, with a high-alert indicator in the final ten seconds.
Troubleshooting
The timer isn't detecting my shots
Make sure you allowed microphone access when prompted (Settings → the app → Microphone).
Raise the sensitivity if shots are being missed, or lower it if background noise is triggering false counts.
Keep the device reasonably close to the shooting position.
Does it need internet?
No. The app works fully offline — no account, no subscription, no internet required.
Is my audio recorded or uploaded?
No. The microphone is used only to detect shot sounds on your device in real time to calculate split
times. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted, and the app collects no personal data.
